hi, can anyone help please, i am an english citizen living in spain legally with residencia. I have a russian girlfriend (who is divorced with a son ) who would like to come and stay with me for 3 months . We understand that she has to get a Shengen Visa, the problem is that we want her son to come too, and we have heard that since May 2004 the father of the child has to give his permission on the Shengen application form ( we think it is only Spain who has made this rule ). we do not think the ex husband will sign , any ideas how we can overcome this problem?? We know that if we get married it would overcome the problem , but we want to choose when we get married , not be forced to do so . PLease help..
