Renting a Flat in Tel Aviv....

Postby Doug1943 » Wed Aug 24, 2011 4:21 pm

I need to find out about what areas of Tel Aviv are nice to live in, rents, etc.

Someone has suggested this one: "gush- x106,x107 helka 243/3, 460 (the way we describe the apartment position within a building) the address is Derech Namir XXX flat number 3 Tel-Aviv"

(I've put x's instead of actual numbers to preserve their privacy). What i would like to know is, how do I go about finding out if this is a decent area, if the rent required is reasonable, etc? Is there some sort of guide to living in Tel Aviv which i can consult online?

Please bear in mind that I have never been to Israel, and am not familiar with, for example, the format of Israeli addresses. It's not clear to me what is a street name, or even if street names are used in addresses. Nor do i read Hebrew. So any advice, even trivial, is likely to be an advance on what I know now!

Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the trouble to reply!

You should first look into the complete expat guide to moving to Tel Aviv. There is a section dedicated to accommodations.

Best of luck!

That is completely unacceptable as an address - that is how land is registered in Israel. I am a licensed expat real estate broker in Tel Aviv - feel free to contact me directly.

Warm regards,
Matthew

If this site is monitored, why aren't blatant advertisements like the one above removed?
