non-eu to marry french citizen, both currently in UK.

Hey all
My one friend he lives in uk. But he doesn't have valid visa, basically he is overstay. Now he found somehow a friench girl. She want to get married him, in this situation does he have any possibility to get him friench citizenship though her by applying while living in uk? They both lives in uk. Can anyone please help me to give this answer?
