I am soon to be moving to Amsterdam and was wondering if anyone could help me out with finding an installer for Sky+ HD, i have seen a few sites but don't understand why they feel they can charge €155. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks!!
Re: Satellite installation in Netherlands / Amsterdam Normally, as part of the standard tv subscription in Netherlands, you should get BBC channels You can also subscribe to http://www.expattv.net/channels/uk-tv/ to get Channel 4 and ITV (and BBC iPlayer); price is ~€10/month. If you want to install Sky, it's much more expensive (some people talk about a combined cost of €400!) with the material (cables, dish and box) and the ~1.5 hour installation required. The box itself might cost ~€150. You can check http://skysat-digital.com which covers Belgium and Netherlands and http://www.haseurope.com/ (that covers Geneva and surrounding France - not sure they go to Amsterdam)
Hi an thanks for your reply, I will already have the box as I will just bring it straight over with me. I just need someone to position the dish for me, I can buy all the cables myself. Regards
Then it makes things much easier indeed. Keep us informed on your finding and how it goes with the setting
