    Has anyone recently got their application processed for settlement visa at Chennai British High Commission ?

    I've applied for the settlement visa for me in the first week of december 2012. Haven't heard anything apart from the 'In Process' state against the application on their website.how long will it take and what can i do.
    my husband is going to have a surgury in next april and i need to go there before the surgury to lookafter him.
    Any one who processed recently please share your experience.

    However, I don''t know how this works when applying form outside the country. I would recommend consulting the Guide to London & Obtaining a Visa to Live, Study and Work: the United Kingdom for information about your options. The UKBA article "What is my immigration status while my application is being decided?" states

    but again that doesn't perfectly apply to your situation. Does anyone have experience with this? I would also recommend chatting with people through the expat network in the UK. Good luck!

    Hiya mate

    I have applied through British High commission, chennai in the last week of Feb and status just says "your application has been forwarded to British HIgh commission" nothing changed.

    When did your status change to "In process"?
