Does anyone know of any Halloween activities for kids in Vienna? Do any kids go trick or treating in the American community? If so, where? We just arrived here a couple weeks ago.

    Thanks for your help.

Welcome to EasyExpat & Austria! :D

Halloween is often celebrated in big cities around Europe. Unfortunately, it looks like many of the celebrations took place last weekend. I did find

In addition, Martinstag observance is a children’s affair. Carrying paper lanterns they have made in school, the young children take part in an evening procession, sometimes led by a rider on a white horse, emulating St. Martin and his red cloak. Sometimes the lantern procession ends with a Martinsfeuer (bonfire).

I also tweeted your question so hopefully some of the expats in Austria will have more options. For more info about expat life in Austria, you should check out the Guide to Austria. Expat blogs in Austria are also a great resource. Happy Halloween!
