I am pleased to find this forum and the traffic and accurate responses it carries.

Here is my situation below:

I married my british girlfriend in nigeria and i currently have a uk visit visa which allows me to visit.
Since it takes so long to process the residency permit in nigeria and she cannot stay in nigeria that long because she is working, so can I process my resident permit in Uk whilst on that visit visa even though we are already legally married in nigeria?

Please, help with valuable information!

Thanks for your reply.
I understand all the requirements..and I have met all the requirements.
We are married...got married
She works a good job, full time as well.
She has her own flat.
We have met several times.
She doesn't take any benefits.
etc..

What I'm asking now is where I have to process the application. Must I process it in Nigeria or can I process it in the UK since I already have a visitor's visa and I can travel to UK.

I hope that clarifies my question.
