Dear all, does anyone understand this part of the application form when applying for the EEA Family permit? it doesn't make sense to me, surely we're applying to get permission to enter (well my spouse not me as I am a British citizen (born in the UK)) which means he currently doesn't? Am I being stupid here?

Evidence of your permission to be in
the country where you are applying, if
you are not a national of that country
This could be a residence permit, ‘green card’ or valid visa showing your
current immigration status.

The whole point of this app form is that he is applying for permission to enter!!!

Basically I'm applying for my Chilean husband , 2 kids and I to return to the UK so we are applying for an EEA Family permit. In the section where it says "supported documents" it asks for supported documentation for evidence of permission to enter the UK. I am asking why are require this if the application form is applying for entry for him? Or do they mean me??
