Dear people! Will highly appreciate if you can help me with the information on the following: I have applied for the Residence Card EEA2 in July 2010. I have not yet got Certificate of Application, and my current EEA Family Permit expires soon. I know that rules are that my migration status remains legal while the application is with UKBA, but its is not clear to me if I have to have CoA in hand as a proof of my legal status? If I dont get CoA before my visa expires does this mean I have to leave UK? If I stay in UK and anybody questions my expired visa, how do I prove my EEA application is with UKBA? I do not have Royal Mail tracking number as I applied using Migration Agency service, but unfortunately I cannot get any sensible info from them. Does anybody have experince with applying for EEA2 and another EEA family Permit at the same time (as a way out of the situation that you live on expired visa and you cannot travel within indefinite time period while EEA2 application is being decided)?
Thank you in advance for the responses.

the agency you used will hopefully receive your certificate of application soon (judging from my own experience ) . although i don't really think that you should be worried .

I have the same problem at the moment and I´m really getting worried about. Do somebody can explain me how does it work if my Family Permit expires before the end of Residence Card process?

    Thank you !
