    i received a job offer from a private clinic in abu dhabi. I've 2 question in my mind, and i can't decide if come in UAE or not.
    1) is it true that women aren't free as in europe? I mean, that a woman can't walk in the city, if shes not accompanied by a man, etc?

    2) the clinic offer me 17.000 dhm for months, plus commition, accomodation and sanitary allowance. Is it a reasonable salary? will i can send money home, or i will spend all for live here?

    1 - Thats absolutely wrong. UAE is quite a westernized place and even though its a Muslim country and 'freedom' has its limits, its certainly not the case that women are not allowed to walk alone or anything of that sort. Also, you will be about 20 times safer than anywhere in Europe.

    2 - That sounds like good money to me but how much money you would spend depends more on your lifestyle rather than the place. I know people living a decent life there for less than 10,000 Dirhams.

    If I were you, I would definitely go for it. Its a cool place, no taxes to pay, cheap fuel and no winter !
