    hello

i just wanted to know what economically self-sufficient really means?

im married to an Italian and want to apply for my eea2 but the only problem is that he hasnt been working for the last 6 months

i was on a student visa in uk which has expired a few months ago but i still work 20 hours plus i receive enough money from my parents to support both of us is that good enough

    thank you

Basically it should mean that you have/get enough money to support yourself/family without becoming an unreasonable burden to the state, i.e. you would need public funds to have enough money. I do not know what HO's stance is on income through parents, etc.

You may want to sign up at http://www.ukresident.com/forums/ . More people there and also lawyers.

One point I forgot is comprehensive sickness insurance. HO believes that you are not covered by NHS if you are self-sufficient. NHS seems to think otherwise.
