✎ EN Traveling within the UK while waiting for EEA2

    Hi all,

    My husband and I applied for the EEA2 family permit in September; and so we're more or less patiently waiting for our passports and residence card. It being the holidays and all, we thought we'd take a short holiday trip to London or Scotland. My question is, can we stay in a hotel without passports? My husband has his European identity card, so I imagine that he should be fine, but I have nothing but a US driver's license, a CoA, and a photocopy of my passport. Does anyone happen to know if this is good enough?

    Of course it is ! Hotels do ask for proof of identity but that doesn't have to be passport and since you both are travelling together, your husband can show his identity card and that should be enough, its not that everyone has to show form of ID.

    So relax and enjoy the break !
