✎ EN Is 46,000 pounds a good salary in London?

    Hello,
    I got a job offer within my company to move to London on a 46,000 pounds annual basis , but I don't know if that´s going to be enoght to have a good life, be able to without worries take holidays and come back to mexico. If the cost of living plus entertainment plus food etc is well covered with that and if after all experses I will be able to save something.

    I have to give my answer asap and I don't know if it's a good offer, please could you help me?

    I wouldn't worry too much. The average salary is £28,000. Of course if you want to live in a Penthouse in Chelsea it might be a bit tight... ;-)

    Hi guys,

    Just one question, because something is not clear: are those numbers Gross or Net? Is 28k pounds the Gross or Net average salary? I'm also planning on relocating to London and the Gross salary offer I was given starts from 50k pounds / annum. Not sure how much would that translate into Net ( I'm from Romania, so the salary calculator isn't of much help and I'm not having an easy time finding the actual tax values and what taxes might apply ).

    £50k is about £3200 net a month.
