Has anyone had any luck with getting their citizenship confirmed through relatives that left prior to 1920? My great-grandparents left Poland in the 1880s and I was wondering if anyone has had any luck or would I be wasting my money and time. :) Thank you!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news: maybe it's best to save your time and money.

Unless your ancestors have something confirming Polish citizenship after late-1918,
they unfortunately were never Polish citizens as Poland wasn't yet a country again.
Even then, there are a myriad of reasons Poles could still have lost their citizenship.

Having just received my Polish citizenship and passport I believe this to be correct.
