    Hi everyone,

my name is mark and in two weeks i shall be moving to france, just outside paris. I have just completed my masters degree and my backgound involves a lot of work with english language and teaching. I am really eager to meet new people and integrate into city life. I want to see if anyone can offer advice for meeting similar people or would be interested in meeting to exchange english for french tuition... I am very patient and have just lived with 6 french students whose english improved greatly with my help.

I would be very grateful if anyone can help offer advice for a new arrival and i would love to hear from you if you are in a similar situation or wish to improve your english.

I look forward to hear from you.

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

I don't know about Paris specifically, but I did a quick search and found a link with several Meetup groups in Paris for people who want to practice English. http://english.meetup.com/cities/fr/paris/

Many times activities like this are cheap or even free, so you shouldn't go broke trying to afford it. ;)

Since you will be close to Paris, you should also consider posting notices at schools or universities for people who want to learn English or who want to do an exchange.

    I hope this helps.

    Audrey
