We currently live in asia and are moving to paris early next year. There is so much i don't know about paris and i'm trying to educate myself as fast as i can.

Can someone please advise on good schools - we have a five year old daughter who currently attends an international school here in asia (ib program). I've had a look online at the international schools in paris (expensive!) - is this the only option for expats? Also, is there a huge expat community in paris (we are irish/english) and where would be the best place to live for someone who has just moved to the city. We would rather be fairly central if we can. If there is any advice you can offer re. Life in paris, the cost of living, things to be aware of, places to avoid, etc etc, i would be very grateful.

    Thanks!

Thanks. I have already clicked through all the information on this site but i didn't find a lot of it particularly relevant to me. So that's why i've posted. Maybe i'm too old to be on this site - i found a lot of your information is geared towards students/people looking to flatshare etc.

There is no age limit on this site. As for the games, it is for 7 to 77 (maybe 16 to 86).
There is a section on education with details on the schooling system and international schools in Paris which is definitely more relevant to you than to a flatsharers ;-)

Hey! As for information about what schools are good, i could find out for you from my boyfriend was born and raised in paris. If i don't get back to you soon enough on the information after i talk to him later today, you could e-mail me in order to rush me.
I understand that it could be quite frustrating to move to a new country without knowing too much about it yet!
