    Hi everyone,

i'm new to the forum, so i didn't really know where should i post my question. If this is the wrong place, then i apologize for the inconvenience.

Well, i just received an offer of 52k£/year base salary, in london. So i just have a couple of questions:
1- how much would it be left as a take home salary (once you deduce all the charges, taxes, insurance contribution, etc...)?
2- what kind of life standard can i have with such a salary in london?

Thank you all in advance for your help.

    B

    1- About £2500-2700/month, maybe a bit more
2- Pretty good, as the average salary in the UK must be about £25000 (but of course there is a difference if you are single or with a family and 5 kids!)

Thanks easyexpat for your answer :)
    no actually i'm single.
But you know that national average is not necessarily meaningful, since london is probably way more expensive than the rest of the country...i guess.

Well, one last question: there's a tool called "cost of living" that simulates salary equivalence from a city to another. Which currency does it use?

you are right as, london is more expensive as far as other states or countries concern and if some one wants to shift there then it is necessary to know everything requires to live there.

As, we have to think about every aspect that are necessary and at the same time beneficial.

    Thanks
