    Hi there,
does anyone know: do i need booked/paid return tickets for the uk before applying for eea family permit?

I am australian born with maltese passport and citizenship and currently in malta.
My husband and i wish to live in the uk and work for a while.
We are trying to fill out the eea family permit form and it asks for travel entry and departure. I have tried to leave it blank but unable to. We have not yet booked tickets to the uk due to wanting the eea visa first for my husband.
    Thanks!!
    T

    No, you don't need to.

In the box where it asks for departure date, you can put N/A, if it doesn't accept that either, you can put a date three months after your arrival date.

You can of course put a cover letter and explain it in there - not needed though.

    Good luck
