I am an South African who met a woman from spain, she lives in UK. We are planning to get married, but the laws seem to be a bit different on every site. We are a same sex couple and dont know which laws will apply to us. If anyone has any advice, please let me know...

The first thing you need is to apply for Certificate Of Approval for yourself. Your partner doesn't need one because she is EEA citizen but you do. You can read more on here about the requirements. Check out the PDF document which has everything you need to know.

Once you have got that, you can get married.

    Good luck
