✎ EN How to marry a EU national

    Hi All,

    Let me start at the begining! I am south african on a working holiday visa, my boyfriend of 5 years, recently became my fiance :D
    He is a EU and a south african national and we've decided that we would like to get married soon in the uk, and remain here.
    We need help as we dont really know where to begin,
    Can some one please help us :D

    I guess the very first step should be to apply for a Certificate of Approval, which is kind of permission to marry. You can find all the information on the Home Office website. Second would be to get married and then apply for your visa depending on the nationality of your spouse.
