I've been reading the forums and love how helpful and knowledgable people seem to be.....let me tell you my problem in hopes one of you will be able to answer my question (if I don't get an answer, I'm still happy I was able to vent a little).

I'm an American recent college grad here on a BUNAC visa, which expires at the end of November. I met a boy here (silly I'm staying here for a boy, but it happens), and want to stay here longer. I'm currently working at a pub, and received extensive training (a full week) before the opening of the pub, and I want to switch from BUNAC to a general work permit in order to stay here and continue working at the pub. I understand that the company needs to fill out an application in order to sponsor me as a worker, and was wondering, since it's definitely not a job on the shortage list, nor does it take a great amount of skill or a degree to be a bartender, do I have a chance of being accepted for a work permit? Should I even bother?

I'm just really frustrated and upset by the thought of having to leave lovely London, and my man....could someone please shed some insight?
