Is there anybody who can help?
We are paying tax for an address where we do not live.
Our landlord gave us an agreement for a first floor flat(maybe mistake).When we tried to apply for benefits he backdated and gave us agreement for second floor flat(he said council will pay our tax and put in our agreement that we are responsible for paying our tax).That's where i got confused-second floor flat? When before it was first floor.(I thought he stated first floor flat because the door is on the first floor silly me.
We actually live in the loft so from where flat is it is the second floor.
Now we are in trouble.
I rang four times and wrote to council people and nobody seems to be doing anything.Each time they ask my details and end of it. Nobody ever got back to me.
If i stop paying that council tax for first floor flat will i get in trouble?Because the bill is on our name.
