    I just wanted to say that having now bought 3 properties inthe Algarve in Portugal, I have found a wonderful Real estate agent, Direct2PropertyShop. they can be found at http://www.direct2propertyshop.com
    They helped me every step of the way, from lawyers, to Banks everything, where the other 2 I used just left me once they had been paid.     Try out these sites for property search in Portugal

    http://www.bci.cgd.pt/en/

    http://realestate.yellowpages.pai.pt/

    They seem to cover all the country and may be handy if you know what you are looking for.

    Once you found your new home you may find a trusted agent to deal with the Portuguese agent or deal with them directly.
