if I was outside of the uk for eg. weekend, do I have to mention it? Or I put the day I came to Uk to live here? Why are they asking about it? in the HR Revenue and Customs they had the same question and told me a short trip doesn't matter. I don't know what to write. I want to go abroad soon for a week and apply later for EEA1 and work legally in the UK since october 2005. help!

The date you list for applications of this nature is when you first entered UK to decide to live and work here. It is understood that while within the UK you may want to go elsewhere for holidays, etc.
