My fiance is an EU citizen living in Italy. We are planning our wedding in 2009. I will be moving to Rome next year (summer 2008) to live permanently with him. What is the procedure for this? and what should I start doing now to prepare? and is there anything that I should be aware of?

    Thank you :)

If he is a non-Italian EU citizen your formal right of residence is based on the marriage.

However, it is wise to apply for the proper permit.
Think others can tell you how and where exactly in Italy.
