Hi, everyone. Brand new here, you seem to have all the answers so I'm hoping someone can sort me out.

I'm an American who has fallen head over heels in love with a Scotsman (oh, gotta love the internet, yeah?). We're engaged with no date yet but are planning on marrying here, going to the nearest consulate with the requisite paperwork and then immediately returning to Scotland (I read that that's quicker).

Here's where it gets complicated...

* He's permanently disabled and doesn't work. I plan to, but as yet, don't have anything lined up. Will his unemployment be a barrier?

* I have a 9-year-old son who will be coming, too. Will he need a visa?

* Lastly, does someone have links to the forms we'll need? I've looked online, but all my investigating seems to lead me to immigration law firms.
