please can you help me choose the quickest way round my problem..

i live in the UK and want to marry and live with my US girl in LA.

i have done some research in how to do this but i'm getting different messages which way will be the quickest for me to be there...

    1-

should i marry her over here i uk and then move over there getting a visa after marriage...
( i have been told unofficailly that this is the quickest way off friends but the US embassy told me that this takes longest to process and i would have to leave the country until then....over 12 months..)

    2-
should i go there on a visa waiver, get married once i'm there and apply for visa after that....
( i don't know any of the consequences for this...help)

    3-
apply for fiance visa and get married within 90 days once i'm there..

(US embassy told me this is the quickest way but that i cannot stay there until the visa is processed...around 8 months..)

please help as i would move soon if i know i could be there...

    ta,

    tim

option 2 is your best bet.

There have been several queries on this before, please do a search on the forum.

    cheers polskasweetie for the reply..

i've been looking through all the forums and there is a lot of good advice there but, there is one question that has always been unanswered in all of the posts..

that is, if we do the 90 day visa waiver option and i get married in the civil courts or whatever they are called there after 61 days, will i be able to stay there or will i have to leave until my visa is processed..?

ideally i would like to stay...

    cheers again.. :D

From my understanding, you would be allowed to stay while your spouse visa is in process, though you will not be allowed to work for a certain period of time (of which I already forgot) but roughly it will be at least 6 months.
