I have read for hours in and out today about immigrating to UK. I am a US citizen and plan to start the process of immigration. However, I will be going on a civil parntership or fiancee visa (I'm heterosexual if that means anything). What exactly do I need to know and what forms should I be filling out? I know it goes something like this INF 3, and I need to fulfill several thing that fall under Chapter 13 (some sort of regulationsbut I forget). So far I think I need the Application form VAF2 and maybe one of those EEA forms.

But heres the serious catch, my fiance isn't a UK citizen. He's a Polish citizen and he's there for work. I haven't even asked exactly what visa he holds or if he meets any of those EEA regulations. From what I hear Polish people get bad raps in the UK, so I'm far too nervous. I know Poland is part of EU, but under strict guidelines. What exactly do I need to know about his immigration to UK and how should we go about this?

Then theres my child who's involved, but I think she'll be ok as long as I'm ok. Everything I need for her falls under Chapter 10, but we need to do our paperwork at the same time. So please if anyone has any information, it would be a BIG help.

Children of the overseas fiance/e who are under 18 years old are only allowed entry to the UK as dependants if it can be shown that it would cause serious problems if they are not allowed entry at the same time. Therefore this sort of application will be difficult to make, and in many cases it may be best to wait until after the marriage and then apply for entry of dependents.

I totally understand what your saying however, in my case I'm a single parent because my childs father is deceased (his name doesn't even appear on her birth certificate). Also, I am so worried about me not being able to get in with my fiance being of Polish decent and just working/settled in UK. Some of my plans include me visiting UK for about 2 or 3 weeks and finding a school for my daughter (I think I found one that will give her a student visa as the school doubles as a boarding school and houses international students, but I need to check to see if she has to be a boarding student to get the visa). I myself have looked into college options. This is all to make things run a bit more smoother as I think the fiance thing won't work well. My main focus is for us to live as a family and not the hassle of possible rejection...
So YES I am open to any one's help and ideas....
