    I was told that we cannot come back to and work in London after having asked a tax refund for a 2 years time?????does someone no something about it as it is written in the french consutate of london website but they don't explain.thanks

    It depends on the tax refund. If you ask the tax refund based on a P85 and you leaving the country, then you will have to tell Inland Revenue that you are coming back.

    That is wrong.

    The UK government would never disallow you from coming back.

    They might say that if you got a tax refund for the current year because you told them you were going back to live in another country and then came back to the UK and started working. The govermnet might demand a refund of the money they gave you, as the money refunded was calculated on the basis of you leaving the country.
