    i have maintained a relationship with an english citizen for a couple of years now. i am american. is there anyway he may receive residency, with the ability to work, without having to marry me? we don't want to get married, we want to move in together.
    what are the options?

    Your boyfriend could look for an employer in the US that migth give him a workpermit for the US. The workpermit gives the opportunity to live and work in the United States like an american citizen but your boyfriend won't be allowed to vote...

    And if your lovestory continues, just get married :D
