I was wondering if anyone has been denied a tourist visa to the US in the UK due to "not strong enough ties" but went on the Visa Waiver Program for a short trip and was let in. Different lawyers have told me different things. One said it should be okay, one said definately not.

If you did get in, what documents did you use to prove social/economical ties? We're at a loss here.

    Can anyone help? :(

In my opinion they are both right .
If you were denied visa, your name is in the system so chance is that he`d be denied again at the port of entry.
You may have to rethink your future plans.
