    Hello. Everyone,

I have ever seen someone post the similar question before. However, I cannot find it out today...

I am non-EU married to EU and have applied for EEA2 in the beginning of July. I also got a letter from Home Office indicating that I am allowed to work whilst my application is under consideration.

I have NI number, but not bank account. Is there anyone know if I can work in this situation? Moreover, how can I prove to my employer that I am entitled to work before I get the Residence Card?

Thank you for your great help in advance!

    Sunny

    Hello. Triple,

Thank you very much for your reply.

Regarding the bank account, I have tried when I held 6-month Visiting Visa for Marriage. However, the bank told me the visa was less than 12 months. They couldn't accept my application.

For the moment my Passport is in HO. It seems I have no choice, but just wait for its return. And then I can try to open the bank account again.

    Hi! Everyone,

I am coming to update my situation.

After I posted my problem, I carried on the job hunting. Now I am working. The Residence Permit and Bank Account didn't trouble my employer at all. They just checked the letter from home office and the copy of my passport. Regarding the salary, they suggested me to transfer it to my husband's account. Everything is sorted out.

If you are in this situation, don't give up!! As long as you try, you will find the way!
