My husband (Danish) and I (USC) have just gotten married while he's here in the US on VWP. We have been shuffling through the I-130 and I-485 papers for a while now. The problem is we're still awaiting the medical review tests and one of my tax documents before being able to file these forms. The problem is his VWP is up in mid July. We're nervous about not getting the papers to USCIS in time for the date. What exactly may happen if we don't make the date?
This is stressing us out, especially as we've just found out I'm expecting. This is certainly not a time when we want something this important to be up in the air.
I don't need the med review or the affadavit for financial support to file the I-130. SHould I go a head and submit this form? Would it delay us filing the EAD application that goes along with I-485?
Thanks for the help. I'm really beginning to worry about the consequences of not having the immigration proceedings started by the time his VWP ends. I know once the receipt has been issued, he's ok while the immigration proceedings take place. Any info would be GREATLY appreciated!

I'm not sure what supporting documentation you need to submit together with these forms, but whatever they are, if let's say your deadline is tomorrow, you can file it a day before and send it by next day delivery before 9am. As long as your forms and supporting docs get to their office on or before the deadline, then you're good to go.

What if the forms didn't get sent out in time? How big of a problem does that create?
