    Hello!

This is FABULOUS, but I have not seen my question answered. :( My fiance (UK citizen) and I (US citizen) plan on getting married in the States. We plan on living here for quite some time. I have a sick family member and a business that does not permit me to move to another country at this time.

However, we would like to live and work in the UK at some point. Ideally we would reside in both countries. Possibly spending 6 months a year in each. Maybe more, maybe less depending on work. Will that be possible for both of us? I know he needs to apply for a green card initially. What and when should I start the process of getting a visa for the UK.

Plus, is it better for us to marry in the US or in the UK? Which one causes the least amount of headaches.

Thank you sooo much for your time and help with this! :)

    Have a FABULOUS day!

    Thank you!

Okay...so I am clear. He should come to the US and we marry. Then we start the joy of paperwork over here for him to be able to work and reside here legally. Could we at the same time start my process as well? Do we need to maintain his flat? So that we have a residence there as well? Because of the term "settled". I wonder. AND if we live in the US for a couple of years. Will it still be possible to move to the UK? Or should we maintain two households throughout?

I appreciate all of your help. When reading all of the websites..it just drains my brain.

    Thank you!
    Have a FABULOUS day!
