Many questions, but first here is the background:
Entered London From Chicago in July 2005 with a Bunac work permit. After that six months, returned to US. On January 13, returned to London with visitor's passport. Plan was to use England and friends I had met there as a base and travel some in Europe. Also, plan was to continue relationship with UK citizen, which had started while in London with blue card. On February 23 my UK boyfriend and I went to Switzerland to visit one of my college friends. On February 25 we tried to return to London. I was quizzed quite heavily about why I was returning to London, and I explained about traveling, staying with friends, etc. The officer stamped by passport. At the same time, my UK boyfriend was wondering if he missed me coming out of customs and had me paged. When he introduced himself as Erin's friend, the officer crossed off the admittance stamp, said I had lied and that I had a boyfriend in London and would not want to leave the country at the end of my passport time. I had no recourse and was sent back to Switzerland. I returned to the the US on February 26--minus luggage and my life. I had never planned to overstay my 180 day passport requirement. That would be foolish--especially if I want to apply for further visas to the UK. I understand that if I want to travel back to Britain I need to apply and make an appointment at the British Consulate office in Chicago.
Will this experience lessen my chance of getting a work permit, fiance visa or spouse visa for UK?
My boyfriend and I were talking about marrying. If we do, is it easier to apply for a fiance visa and marry by registar in the UK, or have UK boyfriend come to the US, marry in Las Vegas, and then apply for spouse
visa? Which is a surer thing? If I marry and live in London, can I work right away? I understand I cannot work while there with a fiance visa. I have a bachelors degree in Fine Art. What are teaching requirements in UK? How does one get a teaching work permit? Is there a website with teaching information for US citizens wanting to teach in UK?
Thank you so much for your help. I have been reading, but it is very confusing and overwhelming.
