Perhaps someone can give us some insight, since we're kind of at a loss.

My fiance and I got engaged in October and at the time we planned on settling in the US, so we went the K-1 visa route. All went well, the K-1 visa was approved, we're here and together and getting married in six days.

And, as luck would have it, have found that the better option for us is to move back to the UK. So now we're looking at going back, after the wedding, which is this week. He is a UK citizen, I am a US citizen (and will be the spouse of one by the time we move). I've read a bit about the spousal visa process-a much simpler version of what we had to endure through the grace of USCIS-but I still don't understand it fully.

Someone help! What do we need to do so that I can get a spousal visa for the UK-particularly since we have been living out here in the US together for some time now and he has no employment or concrete offer thereof-though we do have a place to stay (his mum's) until we can get on our feet.

So what is a couple in our situation to do? I see on the official website that proof that we won't become public charges is required and that this is most often provided by a sponsor (presumably the spouse) in the form of a letter from an employer...but he left his job to come here. So we don't have that. Can we, like in the US, use a co-sponsor? I didn't see it mentioned on the site. Help, I'm confused!
