    Hey!
My Danish boyfriend and I are talking marriage. The problem is he's working in Ireland for another year at least, and I'm in the US. Denmark is hard to get in to if you're non EU so we are talking about getting married in Ireland so that I can be free to go into Denmark if we choose to go right afterwards. We are also considering coming back to the states for a few years and then going to Denmark for a few years before settling permanently in the States. My question is this:
    1. We are planning to maybe get married this June or July. When is the best time to begin filing papers in Ireland? Where do we begin?
    2. This applies to US: I have no idea where to start here. My local immigration office was in New Orleans and is closed. I'm too far to drive up to Memphis to talk to them. Do I want to file a fiance visa? We plan to marry in Ireland, so I don't think so. Do I have to wait for the actual marriage to file for him to come here? How long is the process? Is there anyway to start it early? Technically he is still my fiance even if we don't need that particular visa for him to enter the country. Does the K1 visa specify that we MUST marry in the US? I read that the K1 is quicker than to get a visa for a spouse. Any advice here would be great.
    3. What type of waiting process are we on before we can actually be together, either me in Ireland or him in the US? Is there any way to know? 1 month? 6 months? How long are the application processes? We don't want to wait too long and then have our plans messed up.
    Please help if you can!
    Thanks!

yes, he did, however, at that time we weren't planning to come back to the US. That part is the bulk of the question. I'm not sure what to do from my end and when to start. Thanks for the reply.
