✎ EN Self-employment in UK OR IRELAND, for latvian

    hello evryone.
    i'm a EU citizen from latvia...& want to live in IRELAND or UK.
    so...my question is, how long it will take me to have a parmanent residence status as a self-employed in UK or IRELAND.
    & how does its works...& can my spouse also able to work there or can have a workpermit(non EU citizen,russian).
    pls help me finding answer.

    Hi,

    In any case your spouse needs visa for UK or Ireland.Because you are not economically active you would be asked to show that you can support both of you.British will give your spouse 6 months,maybe more depending how much money you have and Irish 3 months visa.With Irish visa spouse can not work,you will have to reapply once in country and working.
