    Hi... here is my situation:

    - I'm a USA citizen;

    - I'm married to an Italian guy since October 2005 after knowing each other for 7 years (about);

    - I am in Italy since August 2005;

    - I am applying for a "Permesso di Soggiorno" (italian family visa), but it will take months; this permit is also necessary to get the "Residenza" (Residence) in Italy;

    - my husband wants to move to England within a while... probably less than the time necessary for the Italian Visa;

    - both of us have a place where to stay for free in England; his family and, about me, I have a step-grandfather in UK so I am not directly related to a British citizen;

    - both of us do not have a job at the moment as my husband just got his bachelor degree and I can't work in Italy until I have my Permit (Visa);

    Now, the questions are:

    - Can I go to Uk with my husband? How long can I stay?

    - Will I be able to travel back to Italy for paperwork etc... and to go back to UK?

    - will we be able to apply for a EEA family Visa from UK? What is the probability it will get refused?

    - the fact that I am applying for an italian visa will be a problem for a UK visa? shall I quit the Italian application?

    - How much money should we show to have to be sure to be able to get the UK visa?

    - Anything relevant I should know?

    Thanks for any help and advice,

    Lizard

    Hi there

    I will be very frank with you.I dont think you have a problem, I think you are creating one!
    If you are applying for Italian permit I think you should wait till you get one.I dont know what Italian authorities would make that you lived elsewhere while asking for resident permit,if they looked in your passport.?!.Looks dodgy

    If you are going to UK you would need Family Permit.
