you and a million other people have the same dream, which is why the US is getting stricter with its visa policies. Not to discourage you, but it's just an uphill struggle.

One option you have is to find an employer who will sponsor your H1-B (work) visa. This visa will allow you to work for that particular employer who sponsored you for X number of years. But this is as hard to find, since employers have to justify with US immigration on why they have to hire you sintead of US citizens. Unless you have some special qualifications, then this is a bit hard.

Second option is for you to secure and apply on your own, a visitor visa, classified as B-1/B-2 (business / visitor) visa. I have a 10 year multiple entry visa, meaning i can go in and out of the USA as many times as I wish, but each entry is only valid for a maximum of 6 months, depepnding on what the immgration officer stamps on your passport. I'm not saying also that you can get this 10 year multiple entry. Apply for the visa and see what they will grant you. ONce in the US, you can start looking for an employer who will sponsor you, or marry an american citizen, of which you can get processed for citizenship, though this takes time too. But at least while your papers are being processed, you can work already with no permit, since you are the spouse of a US citizen

Third option is to meet someone american in France and get married, so you can apply for spousal visa instead.

All these options have their pros and cons. But i will not dwell on that anymore.
