✎ EN Get ILR after 2 years EU Residence Permit?

    Hello everyone, we've just got our Resident permit for Unmarried partner in uk. For my partner( an EU member), he got it for 5 years. For me(non-EU) I got it for 2 years. My partner has been working here in UK for 2 years already. According to the EEC2 form, we should be able to apply for ILR after my 2 years period, right?

    Another problem is: my partner has been sent to France to work for one year as a UK employee, will it count as working for UK as well? Because he is still paying the income tax in UK, and will have the P60 forms and all that.

    Hi,
    I got a visa for 2 years too, and according to the home office letter that I got (and you too probably) we can apply forILRafter 2 years(in their words they tell we can apply to have our time limit removed).
    But it´s just writing a letter to them - not EEC2, because with EEC2 it would if the EU partner would apply too.
    Actually I will get ILR before my EU partner - strange, isnt it?
    But no worries. I was quite thinking about that too.
    When you are about to apply, just sent a cover letter, passports, paylips and proof you can afford yourself here, and that´s it!
