I have a 10-year multiple entry visitor visa in my passport but I don't know if it's still valid. I entered the US on this visa in June 2004 and was allowed to stay for 6 months. Before that time, I got married to my fiance who was an international student in the US at that time and after wedding we decided to change my status to F2 (F1 dependant). INS approved our application. My husband finished his studies and OPT and we left USA before the expiration of our visas.

Now my question is, after I changed the status from B2 to F2 in the US, is my B2 still valid for future entries to the USA or do I have to apply for a new B2 visitor visa?

    Thanks for any information,
    Aleks

Once you change statuses in the US, your new visa is what is valid, up until the time that the INS mentions in the letter they mail you that contains your new I-94. In your passport, it may show that you have a 10 year multiple entry B1/B2 visa, but in Immigration files, it will show your updated visa (since you changed it), and this will render your previous one as expired, even though dates show current ones.
