    Hi
    I am a french woman. My daughter is studying in the Uk and I came with her. I am an unemployed women. Can I know if the UK government provide any social security benefits. If so could U please tell me what are the benefits and how I can I apply them and what paper do they need. Thanks

    Indeed you might be entitle to something after a certain period... but it won't be much (something like £100-£200/month) if any (it might be only for under 25 or people who paid National Insurance contribution in the past).
    The best thing is to go and ask for information at a Job Center.

    Thanks for your reply. I could not work because I am asmatic. Could you please let me know after how long will I get any benefits. I was told about Income support, Housing benefits and incapacity benefits. Can you please explain this in my situation I mean being a french. Please also let me know if I need any papers .

    The best thing is to go to your local Job Center (open 9am-5pm usually) and explain your situation. They have different forms to give you that you will have to fill before to come back to their office.
