Meet people in Paris

Postby simplyavery » Sat Feb 12, 2011 11:33 am

Hello,
My name is Avery. I'm 18 years old. I've just moved here from B.C., Canada to nanny for 6 months.
I love this city so far, but I have found it pretty lonely. It has been really hard to meet people here because my French is not that good.

If you're interested in meeting please message me.

Thanks,
Avery

Hi Avery, My name is Ali. I arrived in france this last october to work as an au pair. I've had a wonderful time here so far and feel I've grown a lot as an individual. However I must admit, I do miss speaking to people in english...well I should clarify because a lot of people here do speak english many quite well too...anyway what I meant was a person from northamerica. (Is that wrong of me?) haha anyway, I've been sort of slow myself meeting new people and I think it would be neat if we could hangout. Let me know. Oh, and I'm 20 btw. :)

Try hanging out by a quai or place young people gather on a weekend night! Such as champs de mars, quai de la rapée (the side with all the sculptures/gardens), pont des arts, or find music events (www.parisetudiant.com) you might like and go to those...or maybe find a music artist you like. You just have to be outgoing - people aren't going to come to you just like that. I've met friends in the most random ways like that. If you can take a French class, I would highly, highly recommend it - you'll improve, be able to communicate, and appreciate it here more.

Ok, this sounds interesting, thank you very much. I will apply this all next september 2011, since actually I am getting back to my country tomorrow for the vacations. I've been in some french courses during the last three months, and yes, it has improved a lot :)
