    Where to live in Amsterdam

This small, atmospheric city has plenty to offer everyone: culture, museums, great food, nightlife, wonderful apartments, parks and family activities. Amsterdam is officially divided into 15 districts, which are each further subdivided into neighbourhoods.
The city’s history, tolerance and social housing policies have helped to ensure diversity throughout the city. The majority of expats looking for a ‘typically Dutch’ urban environment tend to end up in the canal rings encircling the old city centre, the Jordaan, the Old South or the Pijp.

    Hi guys!

Im moving to Amsterdam at the end of March, and im looking for a studio appartment, or small 1 bedroomed flat in the city somewhere...
    As cheap as possible...
    Something around 500 euros.

Does any one know where I can find something like this?
Can anyone suggest estate agents or anything??

    Many thanks!

    Ben McHenry

    Hi Ben,

Did you succeed in finding a place? If not, you might want to take a look at our database of Rental Apartments throughout Amsterdam: www.gdyhousing.com.

Although prices may be higher than your budget, the locations and quality of the flats and apartments are awesome. Could be a good temporary solution.

If you have any questions, please feel free to cotact us through our website.

    Good luck!

Re: Where to live in Amsterdam

The Guide to Amsterdam is the place to start for questions about expat life in the Netherlands. This includes info about finding accommodation in the Netherlands and where to live.

I would also recommend connecting with people through the expat network in Holland, and contacting expat bloggers in the Netherlands. You can often find out where they live on their blogs and get recommendations.
