Hi Everyone!

My name is Gaby (this is my latine alterego ;)) and I am currently working as an Au Pair in the center of Madrid. My main goal is to learn Spanish hence I am taking daily spanish classes. My tasks as Au Pair are very limited (lucky me) so ive got a lot of spare time. My Spanish is reasonable now and I also speak a bit of german and my mother tongue is Dutch. Last monday I went to the weekly Couchsurfing meeting and met loads of great people. Most of them are boys though, therefore Id like to meet some girls to go shopping with etc. Contact over facebook might be easier you can find me when searching for Manon van Paaschen.
Hope to hear from you soon!!

Hey everyone,

Delighted I found this forum. 25 year old Irish guy here. Just recently moved to Madrid to hopefully get a job and stay here for a while. I really like it so far but would love to get to know some more people here to hang out with, go for coffee with, go out with and all that jazz!!! A city is only as good as the people you enjoy it with.

So if there are any meet-ups going on or if anyone just wants to meet and explore the city or go for coffee or drinks or soemthing then let me know!! Really looking forward to meeting some people here :) You can message me on here or else e-mail me michaelflynn61 at gmail.com.

Cheers guys, and look forward to meeting some of you soon :)

Hello everyone :)

I'm a 18 year old girl from the UK.
I've just moved to Madrid this week to be an au pair,
But I don't know any one, so yes it would be lovely to meet some people for a coffee etc. Instead of walking around by myself ahah.

I speak English, French, Italian and only a little Spanish (hence wanting to au pair in Spain)

Hope to hear from someone soon :)

Hi,

I'm 25 years old and from the UK. I've just finished a CELTA course (English language teaching) in Madrid and will be looking to get a job and the like. I've come out here by myself so don't know anyone.
I'd love to meet some new people out here so if you're interested in meeting up for a drink etc., please send me a message/email bboprocksteady85@gmail.com.

Hi there,

My name is Jess, and I'm travelling to Madrid (30th August), to start work as an aupair.
However, my Spanish isn't particularly intelligible atm  - so I am looking for fellow travellers to meet up with!
I'm 20, and I hail from Reading in England. Real Madrid is my team, and I will be supporting them robustly, every game - in a bar, pub, house, etc.

I have been to Madrid many times with my partner (who is a Madrileno), and so know my way around the city fairly well!

Hope to hear from peeps, Hugs all around.....

Jessica :D

hello all potential newcomers to Madrid ;)
Ok most of you will probably arrive, it's quiet here at the moment as most people are away for August but will be returning in September!
Jessica will be ok but Emma, I strongly suggest you get some Spanish under your belt before you arrive, Madrileños aren't always ready to break into English :)

Emma, what kind of work will you be doing? I'm working in Finance and credit cards here.

I will be working for an English speaking financial planning company, who deal with expats. So Spanish is not essential foru job.
I plan to take an intesive Spanish course when I arrive though, so it's easier to fit in and make friends.

Thanks
