Easy Expat recently posted a FAQ about EEA1-4 if you are looking for general info or a link to the application- http://www.easyexpat.com/en/faq/departure/q86.htm.

On "DECISION TIMES" on the application it says "we aim to decide applications as soon as possible. For information on the curent processing times for residence card applications or for permanent residence on form EEA 2, see the “EEA/EU nationals” page on our website"

Upon looking at the site, I see that means in about 6 months for posted apps.

Hope that helps!

Hi, i have good news I received my passport with the residence card stamped in it. I will explain everything so you can have an idea of what to expect.

27/10/2010 Sent application by post to Home Office (Liverpool)
29/10/2010 Received documentation back because I forgot to include my marriage certificate
04/11/2010 Sent back documentation plus marriage certificate
19/11/2010 Received COA (implying i am free to live and work in the UK)
28/02/2011 Received passports back my husbands and mine with RC in it

So it was a 3 month wait I guess is not bad i´ve seen other post saying they been waiting for 6 months. I never called or e-mail the home office asking for my status.

Well I hope you get back yours soon. Good Luck! :)
