I need help on info about importing a vehicle in to Luxembourg From Dubai. I have a Ford Ranger 3.2 diesel from 2016, I don't know the law on restrictions in Luxembourg... as we will thinking in moving in to Luxembourg in the next 3 month.... appreciate the help... thanks a lot in advance.

Hello,
As a EU citizen I assume the matter is more about importing a vehicle to a EU country rather than specifically to Luxembourg, if it is your own (I am not talking about buying abroad and then importing to use it in the EU where import rules and taxes will apply).

Hi, my plan its to work in Luxembourg and bring my car with me, im aware of taxes etc. just like to know about restrictions? if any!!! like the CC or fuel type!!! to avoid to send it back... lool

You will find some information on the Lux portal:

Clearing customs and, where necessary, paying Luxembourg VAT
When a person wishes to register their foreign-registered vehicle in Luxembourg, they must have the vehicle cleared through customs in Luxembourg to obtain a 705 tax disc (vignette), which is required for permanent registration in the Grand Duchy.

According to the Luxembourg EURAXESS website:

No import tax is payable on vehicles which you have owned for more than six months, but a completed clearance request form for moving purposes must be submitted

Thanks a a lot mate, appreciate the help... I thought it was restrictions on big diesel engines because the new laws on the Co2, that was my main concern...
