I am French and I have had a green card in the USA for the past 5 years. I am still a resident in the USA but I spent the past 4 years as a student in Canada.
I would like to get the US citizenship but I was told I have to stay 30 consecutive months in the US to be able to get it. Does this apply to me since I was studying abroad?
    Thanks for your help
