    Hi,

I am living in the UK and will be moving to France in a month. My UK employer offered that I continue working for him form home , once I will be based in France. (the company has no registered office in France, only in the UK).

I will be staying in France >183 days /year.
Since I will be considered a French resident given where I live and work, I will need to pay my taxes in France.

My question is : do I also have to pay both employer and employee french social security charges (the equivalent of NI ? since my company won't be paying or declaring anything in France)

I can't find a straightforward answer to this .. If anybody has a similar experience and could help..
    Thank you

There is no double tax in the European Union. The question is therefore to know whether you will be taxed in France or in the UK. My personal feeling is that you should be taxed in France, because that's where you will be working and where will be living.
Your company will have to give you a contract as either:
Expatriate: the company will have to pay all social security and other charges in France regarding your employment
Detached: you will keep all the links with your company, and will be covered by the British system (also in term of pension).

In any case, I strongly advise to contact a specialist for those questions, for example Adexpat.
